Bible in 90 days-Day 1

Reading for day 1-  Gen1:1- Gen 16:16

My glimpse
 Gen 2:10-14
10 A river flowed from the land of Eden, watering the garden and then dividing into four branches. 11 The first branch, called the Pishon, flowed around the entire land of Havilah, where gold is found. 12 The gold of that land is exceptionally pure; aromatic resin and onyx stone are also found there. 13 The second branch, called the Gihon, flowed around the entire land of Cush. 14 The third branch, called the Tigris, flowed east of the land of Asshur. The fourth branch is called the Euphrates
there was one river the bible says which then divided into four branches. these four new rivers or branches, where from the same original source. a river is usually surrounded by fruitful trees and plants, it usually means that the surrounding lands will be fruitful.  yet of the four, only one (Pishon which flowed through Havillah) in the bible is recorded as being fruitful. the bible says in verse 11 and 12 that gold is found in that land and not just gold but pure gold, it also says that aromatic resin and onyx are also found there. i wondered then is it not the same river that flowed through all four lands, how come the other three could not record any bringing forth?  now these four lands can be likened to us all and the rivers the flow of the holy spirit within us.   we all have received from the same source. the same spirit, the same measure of faith, yet only a few, a handful of us will yield ourselves to the softening of the waters of the spirit, to the penetration of his personality, in order that we might produce gold, and precious stones for our Lord. others will be barren. my prayer is Lord help me to be among them who will yield , who will be fruitful for you,let me not be a barren land but a fruitful one bringing forth gold , onyx precious stones and even fruit in my season may my leaves never wither because i am rightfully positioned and allowing you to flow through me as you will!
